Each detailed interactive map below shows the forest management plan for Cameroon, each highlighting a different theme of forest use. All maps contain detailed data including logging concessions, protected areas, roads, and settlements.

Zoning Plan - Timber Extraction
  View the status of Forest Management Units (FMUs), Sales of Standing Volume (SSVs), and other forest areas managed for timber extraction.
Year of Attribution
  View areas managed for timber extraction by the year in which they were allocated for logging.
Wood Volume Harvested
View a map with a graphical display of the volume of wood harvested from logging concessions 1998-2003.
FMU Management Plan Status
View a map showing which logging concessions have developed an approved management plan, as required under Cameroonian law.
Zoning Plan - Biodiversity Protection and Wildlife Management
This map presents information on areas reserved for biodiversity protection and wildlife management, including national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, other protected areas, forest reserves, and managed hunting zones.
Vegetation
  View the Global Landcover (GLC 2000) vegetation data for Africa or the Cameroon MINEF forest stratification data, developed from aerial photography.
Roads Digitized From Satellite Imagery
  Roads digitized from 1999-2003 Landsat imagery for the forested zone of Cameroon are viewable in all maps. Roads may be viewed by type (national roads, public roads, logging roads, etc.) or by level of activity by logging season, 1999-2004.
Towns and Basic Map Features
  Available for all maps, this data includes cities and villages; lakes, rivers, and streams, and country boundaries.
