Save an area and subscribe to receive forest change notifications

On GFW, you can save any areas of interest on the map and subscribe to receive near real-time alert notifications for tree cover loss or fires events detected within these areas. Saving an area helps keep your areas of interest organized without needing to relocate, reupload or redraw the shape every time you need to access it. It is also a convenient way to receive up-to-date information on any forest threats in your area of interest.

  1. You can save areas at the country or regional level in addition to any custom shapes you’ve created or uploaded on the map. Please note that you will need to create a My GFW account in order to save and subscribe to any areas on the map.
